A true internet phenomenon, Kate Walsh a 23-year-old guitarist recorded this album in a friend's bedroom and named it 'Tim's House' in his honour.In a bid to make sure her gentle folk songs reached the public she formed her own record label called Blueberry Pie and put her work on the internet.
The classically trained pianist from Brighton said she built up a fan base by putting her music onto her MySpace page and eventually persuaded iTunes to sell it. Kate said she her songs were inspired by Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex, a seaside town where she grew up and still has family.

沃尔什将歌曲上载 MySpace 网站后，不久即大受欢迎。她其后说服 iTunes 在网上发售《Tim's House》，上周更成功登上下载大碟榜首。她日前获邀到伦敦的苹果分店表演，受访时直认并非iTunes固定顾客，“实际上，我还未拥有iPod呢！”沃尔什自制大碟的成功经验，证明有创作才华的歌手毋须再靠唱片公司出碟。她说：“我首次创作的大碟叫《Blueberry Pie》，那(自制大碟)相当容易，任何人都做得来，网上的回响令人吃惊。”她18岁时获伦敦音乐学院取录，为了达成自制大碟的心愿，不惜搁置入读大学。她说：“18岁前我一直醉心古典钢琴演奏，从没想过能成为职业创作女歌手。”一周内卖出几千只大碟的沃尔什说：“我希望保持私隐，亦不想与心中的音乐偶像会面，那只会令一直以来的幻想破灭。”她已跟一发行商合作推出CD版大碟，让乐迷能在商铺选购。她笑言：“我每天都会上iTunes榜看看自己是否仍是冠军，我想(下载量)已超越艾顿庄！” - 泰晤士报
