Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) is the international investment banking division of the Allianz Group. Our Capital Markets Equities division is recruiting analysts to join our graduate training programme in September 2003.
Graduate Trainee (Analyst) opportunities
Our Capital Markets business line was created in April 2002 from the combination of DrKW's former Global Debt and Global Equities franchises. It aims to harness important synergies from our debt and equity businesses working more closely together.
Sales
Our sales team provides the link between the research product and our clients through an account management structure. You will need to be able to grasp the opportunities identified by the Research teams quickly, to optimise our business coverage. It's a dynamic environment and we need individuals able to build instant rapport with clients and colleagues alike. You will need influencing skills to develop long-term relationships and a creative, flexible mind and excellent communication skills are also key.
Trading
The trading floors are vibrant, highly challenging environments. Traders are decision-makers, they need to be numerate and possess a thorough understanding of market dynamics. You need a genuine interest in the markets, demonstrable through your choice of studies, personal trading activities and / or previous periods of work experience - succeed here and the rewards for high calibre individuals are impressive.
Research
The activities of our equity research team are structured along industry sector lines with a regional overlay. The teams analyse the financial performance of listed companies to produce investment recommendations and have an enviable reputation for in-depth work, regularly achieving top industry rankings. For research, original thought and tenacious investigation will be vital in developing a unique viewpoint to see where sales and trading opportunities lie for our clients.
Derivatives
Our Global Equity Derivatives business is a full service business covering research, marketing and trading functions across the full range of derivative products including plain vanilla options, exotics, convertibles, swaps and warrants. It also encompasses Proprietary Trading and an Analytics function. To reflect the broad scope of the business we are looking for individuals with a variety of skills. Of particular importance are a numerate degree, strong analytical skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Previous relevant work experience would be an advantage.
